Mona Hosseinkhani Loorak

Graduate Student

I am currently a PhD candidate working with Dr. Sheelagh Carpendale in the Innovis Group (Interactions Lab, Department of Computer Science) at University of Calgary. I am now a visiting researcher working with Dr. Christopher Collins at vialab. My main areas of interest are Information Visualization (InfoVis), Visual Analytics, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Interface Design, and Interaction Design. In particular, my current research focuses on designing visualization for multidimensional and complex data in a variety of contexts such as health, security, and finance. I am interested in exploring the new visualizations and possible extensions of traditional visualizations that can support better depiction of complex datasets.
